     Have you ever experienced an earthquake? Ground shaking, buildings swaying, debris falling?           The state of Oregon sits nicely on the Juan De Fuca Faultline. A massive, 1,000-kilometer-long subduction zone running from Washington, through Oregon, and into Northern California, before breaking and continuing into the San Andreas Fault.      For years now, residents of Oregon have talked about “The Big One.” A massive earthquake tsunami combo that is set to go off at any moment just off the coast of Oregon!        Mark Majeski has been the director of athletics for Linn-Benton Community College since 2018. Before that, he was the director of athletics for Willamette University from 2000-2011 and for UC – Santa Cruz from 1995-2000, where he also worked as head coach for the women's basketball team.  Majeski is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and serves on the advisory board for University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership master’s degree program.  In 2011 he founded Majeski Athletic Consulting to work with small colleges and universities in a variety of capacities.   The LBCC baseball program dates back to 1970 with first head coach Dick McClain, who boasted a winning record of 181 to 80 and an even better conference record of 74 and 6.  McClain’s teams won the Oregon Community College Athletics Association  championships five out of six times they qualified. Today's LBCC Roadrunners are likewise enjoying a winning record, currently 10-2, with about 30 more games to go. This year’s Roadrunners are aiming for another shot at the NWAC championship. Linn-Benton’s baseball team has not had a losing record since the 2013-14 season, over a decade ago and even then it was under a new head coach who went on to have three winning seasons.  The Northwest Athletic Conference is made up of 37 community college athletic programs in the Pacific Northwest.
