Week 1 assignment

About me:

My name is Nathan and this is my 3rd attempt at going to school. I've never thought that getting a higher education was for me, but my friends and family have helped me see that I can do some impossible things I enroll in the course because I want to be a sports reporter for the NFL but I have no experience in that department. I am a journalism major for the most part. I'm most interested in learning the process of writing a story. Talking to sources and get down the facts or details of the story you are trying to find. I am passionate about gaming and football. I have been an active gamer since I was roughly 6 years old, and have played and watched football even earlier. Both passions I derived from my late father.

This is an image of star wars (obviously) this is an image that represents me and my love of nerd culture. Star wars is all things that I think are so cool about science fiction. Space wizards and big lasers. 

My 3 goals: 

For this class I have a few goals I want to keep in mind. I want to learn how to write interesting, fact based quick articles that readers can enjoy and engage with easily. I want to be able to learn how to access information and sources around me. I want to learn how to engage with discussions and topics not entirely aligned with my own interests.

My story is going to about the different demographics and differences of the students here at LBCC. the wider ranges and ethnicities that make up the student body of LBCC. As well as some demographics like which students are first time college students, or transfers from other schools? Which students are from Oregon, the west coast, the east coast or even international?
